The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) has produced a report that thoroughly examines the Illinois tax system. The report takes a hard look at the good and bad aspects of each of the state's major taxes, evaluates the impact of tax changes established in recent years, and provides a variety of options for tax reform.
